Introducing Our Under 16’s Golf Academy: A Fun and Healthy Way for Your Child to Learn the Beautiful Game of Golf

Our aim is to provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment for children of all skill levels to learn and develop their golf skills. Whether your child is a beginner or an experienced player, our structured sessions are designed to help them learn faster and have fun at the same time.

Our junior academy is open to children aged from 5 to 16 and takes place on Saturdays and Wednesdays throughout the Spring, Summer and Autumn months. Each term is made up of six weeks, with new skills introduced every weekend. Our experienced coaches keep our class sizes limited to ensure that each child receives individual attention and support.

The cost for each 6-week term is £60, and equipment and balls are provided. If your child has their own equipment, they are welcome to bring it along. This is a perfect introduction on their journey to obtaining a WHS Handicap and becoming a Full Junior Member at Bicester Golf Club where we can offer Academy member discounts. Detailed here is what will be covered each week during the academy program.

• Week 1: Range (getting a feel for each individuals ability)
• Week 2: Putting
• Week 3: Bunker
• Week 4: Short game/chipping
• Week 5: Range/irons & driving
• Week 6: On the golf course

As your child progresses, we also offer monthly course playing lessons during the summer months, divided into a 6-week course. Our Academy Members receive a fully interactive teaching program from our head professional, a bucket of balls per week to use on the driving range.

Our Academy Course on the driving range is open on Saturday’s 7:30am – 10:15am. This is open to all free of charge. Clubs and balls will need providing.
