CHEF DE PARTIE
We require an experienced Chef de Partie who will enjoy the variety of tasks involved with working at Bicester Hotel, Golf & Spa. You will have the ability to run a section on your own, to place orders in various sections and follow recipes to the Head Chef’s specification.  
 
As a Chef de Partie we are looking for someone with a real passion for cooking and with the patience to supervise trainees.  
 
Ideally, the suitable candidate will have previous hotel experience, with skills and confidence to work across all sections of the kitchen. This role offers the potential for personal development and the opportunity to work with fresh, local produce, cooking all types of foods from bar snacks to a la carte to large quantities for functions, therefore it is essential that you have experience and skills in all these areas. You will need to be qualified to at least NVQ level 2, food hygiene level 2 and strictly working according to health and safety regulations.

FOOD & BEVERAGE ASSISTANT
Due to the level of business we are seeking Food and Beverage Assistants to provide courteous, efficient service to all guests and assist in the smooth running of our Food & Beverage Department.  
 
You will be involved in a wide variety of duties including preparing tables, greeting customers, advise on menu and drink choices and serving of food and drinks in the bar, restaurants and conference rooms. You also will be dealing with various functions including weddings and conferences, therefore being a good team worker and possessing excellent customer service skills are essential. You will have a smart appearance with a friendly, lively personality, a customer focused attitude and preferably have had previous hotel experience in a similar environment. Shifts will be a mix of early, late and mid shifts.

HOTEL RECEPTIONIST
We require a Hotel receptionist to work within this busy department, with the ideal candidate having had previous reception experience in a hotel environment. A good understanding of computers is essential and an understanding of the Opera System is desirable, however full training will be given. Previous experience of dealing with high volumes of arrivals and departures is also essential as is the desire to deliver excellent customer service in a professional manner. The role will involve working alongside the current team, working a mix of shifts which will include weekends, early starts and late finishes.  
You should be well presented with an excellent telephone manner and good communication skills along with a bright, friendly personality.

CONFERENCE PORTER/BANQUETING WAITER
Working closely with our Conference & Banqueting Manager, this role is to work as a Conference Porter/Banqueting Waiter. Being the point of contact for our conferences you will need to be confident and a good communicator. The role involves setting up of conference and banqueting rooms according to the clients needs, i.e. moving chairs and tables therefore it can be physically demanding. Working as a banqueting waiter will also require stamina as the shifts may be long.  
The hours are full time, working a mix of shifts, including weekends. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage, however full training will be given.  
This role would suit someone who is interested in gaining first experience in the hospitality industry.

COMMIS CHEF
We are looking for a Commis Chef to join our current brigade.  
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop and progress their skills. A desire and passion for the industry is essential as working as a chef, although demanding, is very rewarding and fulfilling.  
The role offers the opportunity to work alongside an excellent team working with fresh, local produce, cooking all types of foods from bar snacks to a la carte to large quantities for functions3 Therefore it is essential that you have good basic skills and the understanding of how a busy kitchen operates. Having worked in a hotel kitchen would be of advantage.

CASUAL CHAMBER MAID
We have an opportunity for some part time work as a Casual Chamber Maid. This will mean being called upon as required to meet the demands of the business, working between 16 to 20 hours per week. Previous experience would be desirable, however not essential as full training will be given. The role involves cleaning and preparing Hotel rooms for guests using our facilities. This is a physically demanding role, therefore a good level of fitness is required.

HEAD RECEPTIONIST
Managing the Front of House, this role is very hands on along with taking responsibility for the training and development of our Receptionists.  
Previous supervisory experience is essential along with experience in a similar role, preferably in a Hotel environment.  
You will be required to develop working processes and ensure they are put into practice, making sure we offer the best possible customer service to all our guests. Good PC skills are also required.  
You will be expected to manage rotas which include, early, late and mid shifts along with working weekends.

NIGHT PORTER
We are looking for a full time Night Porter providing security to our guests, members of staff and the building. You will be checking in late arrivals, checking out early departures and running the night audit. The role also involves a variety of tasks relevant to the Food & Beverage department, including serving in the bar and setting up conference rooms as required as well as preparing the breakfast buffet. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, particularly having worked in a hotel environment.  
 
You will need to be able to work unsupervised, have a friendly personality and be able to communicate with others and have knowledge of fire, health and safety and food hygiene.

RESERVATION SALES AGENT
We are looking for an enthusiastic Reservation Sales Agent to assist our Reservations Manager to maximize hotel revenue and guest satisfaction.  
Main duties include answering incoming telephone inquiries in a timely and professional manner, checking correspondence on a daily basis and ensuring all relevant information is acquired and fully documented before arrival date.  
The ideal candidate needs to come from a hotel background with at least reception/events experience and taking reservations and needs to feel comfortable with working with computers and computer systems.  
The shift pattern is working 5 out of 7 days including Saturdays from 10am to 6.30pm or 11am to 7.30pm.

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT (TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT)
We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Maintenance Team during the buys summer months.  
The main duties will involve a variety of tasks to include general property maintenance both internally and externally along with painting and decorating. However the list of duties are extensive and at times on an ad hoc basis.  
Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage, an understanding of all general maintenance being essential.  
The role is for immediate start on a fixed term contract until 30 September 2014.  
The hours are primarily Monday to Friday, however there may be weekend hours to suit the needs of the business. This position would also suit candidates who are looking to start a career in maintenance/construction industry.
